Developers and general contractors in Southwest Florida typically order the lowest grade of screens which have a lifespan of only 3-5 years in the harsh sunlight. On the other hand, the mid-grade Phifer 18/14 screens lasts for 7-9 years.
As screens age and develop tears, more damage is likely to occur. While individual panels can be replaced, a full re-screen provides better value for money as the cost of replacing each piece individually may add up to more than the cost of a full re-screen.
-
The cost of rescreening a pool or lanai can vary depending on the size of the area, the type of screen used, and other factors.
Give us a call or fill out our free estimate form and we will provide you with an accurate quote.

In some cases, the damage to a screen enclosure may be too extensive and it cannot be repaired. In this case, the only option may be to replace the entire structure with a new one.
We offer full-service installation and can provide you with an estimate for the cost of replacement.

At Zien-Tech we offer several types of screens for your pool, lanai, or patio repair.
Standard 18/14 screen - This is the most commonly used screen in Southwest Florida. It offers good resistance to wind and debris, while still allowing for a comfortable breeze to enter the enclosure.
20/20 "No-See-Um Screen®" - If you have a high concentration of insects in your area, this type of screen provides the highest level of protection against the smallest insects like no-see-ums, gnats, and other pests.
Super Screen® - This is the heaviest-duty screen available and provides maximum protection against wind, rain, debris, and other animals. It also blocks up to 90% of UV light for more comfortable outdoor living.
Florida Glass - Phifer Glass-Shield is an 18x14 fiberglass mesh that has been coated in vinyl. It is commonly used at the bottom of enclosures to prevent water and dirt from entering while also providing privacy.
